Copper Foil |
More delicate designs that require very small pieces, such as mobiles, candles, light catchers, mirrors and lampshades, are made using copper foil. Each section of glass is cut out, the edges ground smooth and strips of copper foil wrapped around each piece and joined with solder. Fran uses this technique for making individual pieces, mainly birds, animals, butterflies and fish.
